Why Stories Matter More Than Ever
We live in a world where people are constantly connected but often feel completely alone. Every day we scroll through carefully edited lives, polished success stories, and opinions coming from every direction. Yet behind many of those screens are people quietly fighting battles no one else can see.
That is why stories matter.
Not because they entertain us for a few hours, but because they remind us that someone else has walked a difficult road and survived it. A story can reach places that advice never will. Facts inform the mind, but stories speak directly to the heart.
When I began writing, my goal was never to become famous or to sell millions of books. My goal was much simpler. I wanted people to know they weren’t alone. I wanted someone who felt broken, overwhelmed, anxious, or forgotten to open one of my books and discover that healing is possible.
Many of my books are inspired by real experiences. They explore trauma, resilience, forgiveness, relationships, personal growth, and the difficult journey of finding peace after chaos. Those aren’t just subjects I researched—they’re experiences I’ve lived.
I also believe stories should ask questions instead of pretending to have every answer. Life is complicated. Healing isn’t a straight line. Sometimes progress looks like simply making it through another day, and that’s okay.
Whether you’re reading a children’s adventure, a psychological thriller, a memoir, or a book about rebuilding your life, I hope each page reminds you that every chapter—good or bad—is part of a larger story that is still being written.
At DeKeyser Publishing, our mission isn’t simply to publish books. It’s to publish hope, encourage honest conversations, and create stories that stay with readers long after they’ve closed the final page.
If you’ve been following my journey, thank you. Your support allows these stories to continue reaching people who may need them the most.
And if this is your first visit, welcome. I hope you’ll explore the books, follow the blog, and join me as we continue discovering the power that honest storytelling can have in changing lives.
Because sometimes the story that changes your life begins with turning just one page.
