Healing Your Inner Voice

KEY SHEET by Allen Dekeyser

Key 1: Trade Judgment for Curiosity

Instead of judging yourself for how you’re feeling, get curious.

Ask: “Where did I first learn to talk to myself this way?”

Self-blame keeps you stuck. Curiosity sets you free.

Key 2: Separate the Voice from the Truth

That harsh inner voice? It’s not you — it’s a mix of fear, trauma, and old programming.

Start noticing: “Would I talk to someone I love like this?”

If the answer’s no, it’s time to rewrite that script.

Key 3: Name the Feeling, Don’t Become It

“I’m feeling hopeless” is different from “I am hopeless.”

Give your emotions names, but don’t hand them the driver’s seat.

You’re the storyteller — not the story.

Key 4: Let Shame Leave the Body

Shame sticks when it hides.

Scream. Cry. Journal. Sweat.

Move that pain like a storm passing through — not a storm you live in.

Key 5: Create Without Permission

Your worth doesn’t hinge on being perfect.

Sing off-key. Start that project. Wear the wild outfit.

Joy is a rebellion against shame — so have fun with it.
